Archos 604 Cinema Plugin
I am just a little puzzled here. The stock Archos media player is well known as one of the best multi-codec media players around. You only really need the Cinema plug-in if you do not wish to transcode any files you get hold of as in it will add Mp4, AC3 and VOB compatibility (and a few others) and uses the Archos devices hardware acceleration to best capability, increasing battery life (most others are software decoding). The reason Archos sell this as an extra is because of license fees for the HW decoding, if you dont use your device primarily as a media player, you should not have to pay the fees.

I purchased the Cinema Plugin for my Archos 504. It does the following; 'Play back videos on and from your ARCHOS in DVD quality: MPEG-2 format (.vob,.mpg and.ps extensions). Multi-language supported. Listen to 5.1 sound on your home cinema system through the SPDIF output ' I've copied a DVD to Archos 504 using CloneDVD so its now a bunch of.vobs files etc.

How is this suppose to work if I connect it to my TV using DVR docking station? Am I suppose to open up each.vob file one at a time?!! Or am I missing something?
