Comments about Marshall MG4 Series Stompware Guitar Footcontroller Footswitch: Overall this is an excellent pedal. If you have the Marshall MG series, then this pedal lets you unlock it very easily.

Much better than the included 2-button switch that came with my MG4. If you play live, this Stompware pedal is a must. I rated the 'Features' as fantastic because it accomplishes it's mission. Some players want a thousand pedals beneath their feet, and so may notlike this pedal. This one only has four switches and a tuner display.

For what this was designed to do, it does it very well. The switches are programmable, and programming is easy. Giochi gamecube ita.

Just dial up the settings on your amp, press 'store' onthe amp and press a button on the footswitch. Here's the way I have mine set up: Switch 1: Clean (Gain 10 for a clean boost, with chorus, delay, and reverb.) #2: Crunch. ( OD1 channel) #3: Full distortion (OD2, great for leads, heavy metal.) #4: FX Loop. (I set the amp itself on a good distorted channel with a touch of delay, and my EHX Micro-Qtron is in the FX loop. The QTron stays on all the time, and footswitch #4 is used to turn the FX Loop off and on when I want the autowah.) Unit is solidly built, and I expect it to last a long time. I marked it down one notch because of it's light weight. It should be a little heavier.

But I will remedy that myself by velcroing a metal plate to the bottom and putting rubber feet under that. Please remember, they call it STOMPware, but you're not actually supposed to STOMP it.

Those are electric switches and do not require great force to activate! Used properly, it will last a long time. I think it's a little overpriced, but not too bad. Could be cheaper. But then again, maybe that would affect the build quality.

Comments about Marshall MG4 Series Stompware Guitar Footcontroller Footswitch: What a great footswitch. You can control all the channels on the MG series through the footswitch. It even has a 'tap' button and a tuner. I use it for rehearsals and it does the job. I wish it were a little heavier but I haven't had too serious of a problem with it.

My Boss pedals are built and feel like a tank. This footcontroller is light and probably made of plastic. It comes with an extra cable as well. For anyone who owns an MG series Marshall as is tired of having to walk over to the amp to change channels, this is the footswitch you need. Comments about Marshall MG4 Series Stompware Guitar Footcontroller Footswitch: Gotta' have it!

The pedal works great. If you play in a band, you must have this pedal. It really should come with the amp.

The tuner could use a little more light. It's hard to see the middle on a dark stage. I really need seperate channels for clean, rythem, and a lead channel. The pedal does that with a tuner to boot.

I have only had it a week. I'll see how it holds up. It's not real heavy, but should be fine, It is a Marshall product.

I give it middle marks for value because it really should come with the amp. The one that comes with the amp is useless.

This footswitch is the best thing ever because it can chandge channels so quickly and ive used many footswitch's and this is clearly the best because others sometimes are not very consistant and take some. This footswitch is the best thing ever because it can chandge channels so quickly and ive used many footswitch's and this is clearly the best because others sometimes are not very consistant and take some time to switch channels & this amp is fully programmable so you can use it for rock, Blues, classic rock, Grunge ETC. Should have been much better! I have the MG102FX amp and it came with a footswitch. When the GC salesman told me the footswitch was included, I assumed he meant this one since the manual doesn't even mention that. I have the MG102FX amp and it came with a footswitch.

When the GC salesman told me the footswitch was included, I assumed he meant this one since the manual doesn't even mention that there is more than one footswitch for this amp. When I got it home, I found out the footswitch that comes with the amp switches between the channels and that's all it does. Apparently, it's so simple, it doesn't even rate a mention in the manual. Obviously, I had to order and wait for this 'footcontroller' and now that I have it, I'm here to tell you, it leaves a lot to be desired. The first thing you'll notice is the very tiny display and the tiny lettering.

My eyes aren't what they used to be but I think even someone with perfect vision would have trouble telling one LED from another from a standing position, especially on stage. I guess you just have to memorize which is which. Other than that, the pedal feels cheap and chintzy in it's really lightweight plastic case, not at all what you would expect from something by Marshall.

I'm used to Line 6 footcontrollers so next to them, this thing feels like it was made by Mattel. I like that it connects to the amp with a standard guitar cord instead of the ethernet cables you need with Line 6 pedals but I'd trade that for a more useful version of this thing in a heartbeat.

Comments about Marshall MG4 Series Stompware Guitar Footcontroller Footswitch: I use this unit with an MG 50W 1-12 CFX amp. It is the newer model so I have not had any problems with the operation of this controller.

The switching is very quite and lets me access the preset sounds that I need instantaneously. I have heard that on the older MG models you must use the 2 channel foot controller (which was included with my new amp and so far, un-used). My only complaint is with the tuner mode; it is hard to read the tuner on stage and I don't care to mess around with programming it every time I use it.so, I use a Korg pedal tuner and I am quite happy. Comments about Marshall MG4 Series Stompware Guitar Footcontroller Footswitch: I ordered the Stomp box for my Marshall MG30CFX amp. Now I can enjoy the on board functionality of the amp. The stomp box is needed for using the tuner function. It has the tuner display.

Also, I can preset each foot switch so that I can select a preset. It comes preset but I like setting the chorus on the switch and changing the presets for the OD functions. All pretty easy. For a practice amp, I like it. I have more effects than when I use my big amp.
